Maine Group expansion plans announced.

Maine Group have confirmed plans to create 155 additional jobs in a major £9.5million expansion.

The investment will include the construction of a new 150,000 sq ft production facility located at Wattstown Business Park, Coleraine, along with the purchasing of state of the art manufacturing equipment and the introduction of a new ICT system to enable and assist with effective management of the projected growth.

Invest NI in conjunction with the European Regional Development Fund, ERDF, under the Investment for Growth and Jobs Programme 2014-2020, have pledged £1.5m support to the company to aid with the job creation, new development and the purchase of equipment.

The new jobs being created and recruited for include highly skilled engineers, fabricators, welders, professional and administrative roles.

Whilst Maine already have a strong position supplying many of Northern Ireland’s original equipment manufacturers, this investment will enable the group to expand, to continue to grow,  to improve efficiency, ramp up production and pursue already identified opportunities in GB, ROI and the rest of the world.
